The client

Workout app that counts reps through the phone camera.

Put the phone down, start moving: Tally sees the body, counts squats, push-ups and lunges, and logs the session. Audience: people aged 20–40 who train at home.

The pain

Manual rep counting. Doubt that AI really counts.

For the business. Fitness ads all promise results. A camera rep counter sounds like a gimmick until people see it work on a real body.

For the user. Losing count mid-set, and not trusting that an app can see what you do.

The solution

Show the proof, not the promise: a live skeleton on the body, joint angles, and the counter ticking up only when a rep really happens.

The skeleton tracks the body, knee and elbow angles appear, the counter rises with each real rep, the session summary, the end card “Try Tally”.

What we measure

Concept case built to show the method. These are the metrics every hook is judged on; live numbers appear here once a client test runs.

How we built it

  1. Workout clips in Veo, sped up to a 125 BPM rhythm
  2. Pose tracking with MediaPipe: real landmarks, not drawn
  3. Reps detected from the joints, counter synced to them
  4. Three hook designs, one body
